Triangle Shirtwaist Fire The Triangle shritwaist fire paved the way to rights for the working man. When over a hundred and forty six people became traped in a sweat shop in New York City the police became aware of the neglect and stupidity disregarding saftey messures. These people could not escape becasue of the large amounts of sewing machines stacked against the door preventing them form escaping the the flames. the room had no windows so they could work more ificiantly. The Family members of the people lost in the fire recieved only a small payment for their grevences and the owners payed no jail time. They where simply required to pay a small fine.

Meat Inspection Act The meat inspection act started because of a book called "The Jungle" discribing the awful treatment of workers on the factory floor of meat procesing plants. It was discribed as hell itself by the employies. most said they would rather die then work down on the factory floor and in the machines. People would loose limbs in the meat and they would do nothing to retreave the bodies or lost body parts. people got so sick form eating the meat produced that the government was forced to step in and require qulifications for beef.

Economic
Clayton Anti-Trust Act A more refined version of the sherman anti-trust act and made it harder for big business to slip through the cracks. Monopolies became illegal and specific qualifications were made dicribing whta companies could do to limite proces and store locations. It also made it illegal for one company to buy all other competitores. If one company wanted to puchas another company they must first be granted approval. This was a dramatic change from the traditional Laisse Faire economics dictating a hands of government. With this change the government would set limets to the prices that could be called for sertain goods and services.

Sherman Anti-Trust Act The first to be passed to protect the small buisness and allowed the government to step in and stop monoplies. This law was not very ifective and had a lot of problems. most businesses didn't listen to the laws and when they had been proven guilty for the crime mearly payed a smell fine. Large companies would destroy small business by changing prices to pull them under and bankrupt them. also they would move to other locations near them to compeat witht hem making it impossibile to stay open.

Political
Election Reforms Because of corruption in politics and scandels that payed for government rule reforms were made. Survays were required for each political leader and had to be extreamly extensive. leaders would pay immagrants to vote for them even if they were not citezens. Some would even be forced to vote more then once. This coruption was outragouse and elections would be riged year after year. Eventually the people ad enough when their mayors and counclemen had done nothing to help them. With the election reforms the spoils of victory became disbanded and each candadite would have fare trial without cheating or false elections.

Womens Rights Movement Women would look to get more equal rights in society so they advocated for those rights in the Declaration of Sentiments. With the addition to the 19th amedment women gained the long over due right to vote. with this new freedom they had a new untaped thinking. Candadits would have to appeal to their standards too. This opend the door to new rights and ideas women hadn't even dreamed of having at this time. With advances in the equal rights ideas they had the power to sway elections and could eventually change the outlook of the governments view on the working class.

Progress
History shows progress during this time period. As time progressed during this age America wanted to expand not only in a better way for its people but for people around the world. This era wanted to make life better for citizens and as the government started to expand it wanted to change other countries for the better. In a way that it thought was for the better of these people they changed the culture and way other people viewed to world.
